Well, at USD $11.53, I guess you're not risking much...

On the other hand, I too find it disconcerting that most of the "Customer Reviews" I have seen on Amazon.com for Rampant Press books seem to be written by "customers" who coincidentally share a common name with an author of at least one other Rampant Press books. (The last one I looked at was a book authored by Donald K. Burleson with a customer review by somebody named "Mike Ault", as I recall.) But then this observation is probably not based on a statiscically significant sample, so it is perhaps unfair. Besides, I'm sure it *must* be a coincidence!

In any event, I allowed Rampant Press to get my $10.49 once in the past (figuring I wasn't "risking much"). There was little in that particular book that I did not already know; and much of what little novel content I did find struck me as either wrong, or dangerous, or both. I have promised myself that this would be the /last/ book I purchase from this publisher.

Still, I suppose if somebody were to /give/ me this Streams book for /free/ I would probably read it. After all, it had a /great/ review! ;-)

Cheers,
