As it's 9i, yo won't be hitting the Pentium 4 problem so beloved of 8i :o)

I had this problem once, on a number of Compaq PCs. The setup.exe wouldn't run from the CD. It would run if you copied the CD to disc and ran it from there.

Why ? I have absolutely no idea, but the CD is still in my collection (somewhere) and is marked with a label which states 'run from hard disc - setup won't run from CD'.
