How to set my dbms jobs to handle daylight time change?

I have a job which runs every 5 mins. During the last weekend it did not run from 1 AM EST to 2 AM EST.
It ran at 1.58 AM EDT then next execution was set to 2.03 AM. But the clock went back to 1 AM again due to daylight saving changes.

I just wanted to know how the rest of the people ar handling this?

Thanks
Sami
