Hi Don, use the correct way.

Maybe this could be an old politic before assm and local tablespace.

But the correct way is to sit down and set what are the theoretic expected benefits.

An overal improvement? (use stats packs after gatherin statisics again) The improvement of a process? (then you can get a trace).

Then DO the process, and verify after, if there is a improvement.

This is the correct and scientific way,

the ot her situation is to sitdown and say I don't want and get an affray with your technical team leader.
And maybe he couuld demostrate it is useful and you will get bad. In the other situation you always will get good if you are right or wrong.
