Some may find this useful.

These are instructions from Novell for installing Oracle 10gR2 on the desktop version of Suse 10.0 Linux.

I haven't yet tried them myself, but it does seem to answer the question if Oracle can easily be made to work with the latest Suse Linux for the desktop.
