Subject: Changing from cost to rule bae optimization on the fly

Hi List,

I am running 9.2.0.2 Oracle on AIX 5.2. My online is acceptable, however COBOL batch is slow. Is there a way that I can switch from cost to rule base optimization for the session running the batch process without having to shut the system down?

Thanks,

Doris
