Apologies if this has been suggested earlier, but....

I've just started "Oracle Wait Interface: A Practicle Guide to Performance Diagnostics & Tuning" by Oracle Press  

and so far I've found it really good.

  One of my co-workers purchased that book and he was pretty unimpressed with the Burleson book. Said he wished he hadn't spent the money.
