You didn't even give information as to what compiler you are using. When asking a question for steps and helps, it is a good practice to give such relevent information. Are you using gcc? sun compiler?

	             Now I don't use Solaris, but the following works on
HP-UX and
	RedHat Linux so I don't see why it won't work for you:
	
	proc iname=<your-program>.pc oname=<your-program>.c host=c
	make -f $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo/demo_rdbms.mk
OBJS=<your-program>.o 
	EXE=<your-program>
