Thanx a lot Dear Santa. Get ready for CHRISTMAS too. ;)  As you said, let me go through this site and all the manuals.  But I have one question in mind.
 HOW RAC HELPS FOR HIGHER AVAILABILITY?
 RAC will help to get multiple instances only, but the probability of failing the instance is less compared to crashing the DB due to any reasons.  and we have single set of physical files(hope this is true), what to do then?
 Even if we create Standby for that, it will have a downtime of course.  Not sure if this is the correct question.  regards - Chirag
