Oracle will round the extent size up to an even block size. So you should use binary for extent sizes.

   For datafiles, I would just use what is most convenient for you. Convenience reduces mistakes. Far better to be off by one percent than worry so much about saving a percent or two that you use K for file size when you meant M.
