Raj,  

    True, but only in the UTL_FILE_DIRectory. And that parameter is not yet in the list of dynamic parameters.

any java programmer worth his salt (or mixed-case-class-name) should be able to write yet-another-class to read a file. However, pl/sql can also do this without java overhead.
