Sarah,
I saw a nice method of setting the Oracle environmentals as needed for each login. create the environmentas in a file for each one needed and execute the environmental file for the proper connection.
When you need to connect to 8i execute the 8i environmental file. for 10g execute the 10g environmental file. Each file sets the proper path, HOME,SID etc. Ron

Folks,

In Oracle 8 there is a little tool that comes with the installation for changing the Oracle Home that works with Oracle 8 and 9, but not 10. It changes the path variable so all the right Oracle code is picked up. Is there an equivalent tool for Oracle 10? If not, do you have any suggestions on what works well for switching between them?

Thanks,

Sarah
