Can you buffer the inserts before inserting them into the database? Can you use OCI direct write? Does the data need to be indexed immediately.

Subject: Anyone with experience with MMOG and databases?

Hi all

This is to find out if there are any of you out there that either 1. have MMOG design or DBA experience or 2. know of anyone that has

MMOG = Massive Multiplayer Online Game

Looking at a system that will be requiring 10,000+ simple writes per sec and 20,000+ semi simple reads per sec.

Does not need to be Oracle specific. If you have any information, I would love to hear from you and can provide more information then.
