We have continued to use the 8i agent with our 9i databases. This problem has only occurred on servers with existing intalls of Oracle Applications 11i. Not sure if due to the various other homes or what that compose Oracle Apps 11i. Now we have just noticed that we do NOT appear to be getting alert log event messages from the 9i database.
