If anyone is interested you are welcome to have a look an try my Oracle Monitoring & Alerting application; HEYMONitor; www.heymonitor.com It is not so much a "performance" monitoring tool as much as and "Event" monitoring tool...(bad performance can be in the for of a "wait" event).

It has a few bugs...things that don't work, but the key areas work...works well. I have been to busy with my normal Oracle DBA work that I have not had a chance to update for fix things for about 7 months. Every day I use the current version you can download...every minute it is working for me (sometime to well) notifying me of poetical problems with my databases.

It has some eye-candy, but is no Spotlight or Precise. All web base, with home page that refreshes to show new errors...but I never look at the web pages unless I need to confirm or configure something. The real power is email alerts...I just wait for email, rather than look at refreshing web pages.

Really best to have have an extra Linux box sitting around to run HEYMONitor from...Linux/UNIX only for the HEYMONitor server...no Windows version.

I have a looked at www.confio.com DBFlash. Never knew of it before reading about it on the list. Looks real good. I wonder about its PROCESS (db, listener up-down) monitoring and it LOG (alert.log, exp.log, RMAN log) monitoring?

PS My server seems slow right now...not sure why...might have to check the link later.

		Dick,

I am not sunjay, but I am interested. I have embarked on
a task to get rid of Spotlight product. So if I can give my computer room some blinking lights, they will be mighty happy.

I am looking for any tool that can be used to provide some graphical output for Oracle monitoring. Is there any URL where I can download and configure to monitor some of the Oracle / other database which can provide graphical interface.
