You didn't mention the linux kernel version. NIC Bonding module is available from 24.12 and higher versions. If you have already installed bonding driver, you can configure the 118 and 119 subnets to a single bondIP (120.x) and use the VIPCA to configure the Virtual IP. In this case your eth0 and eth1 will be a new bonded interface and can be used against interconnect failures.
