Hi all,
we have to setup a temporary host(OS Windows 2000), install Oracle software, create an instance on the temporary host's disks and then plug these disks into another host. Both hosts are in the same domain, so we have to maintain two different hostnames. Once we have plugged the new disks the host name will be different: so is there something to reconfigure (Oracle software or Oracle instance) in addition to the host name entries in tnsnames.ora/listener.ora?

Regards
Dimitre
