Few simple questions.....

First are you logged in to the second server as the "owner" of the oracle install?

Second have you created a DB user with the same name identified externally?

I don't know what the problem is, but you should be able to just run "exp" with no arguments at all and go into interactive mode. Maybe that would work?

Also, be sure to mention what version of Oracle you're using. It usually matters.
