Yechiel,

     There are a number of changes (usually for the better) with RAC between 9.2 and 10.x - a number of operations are much easier with 10.x. With 10.2 ready to come out any day now, I fear that if you go for 9.2 some of the work you will do will be for nothing, because you will be asked to migrate to 10.2 pretty soon, and probably to go live with 10.2. I don't need to tell you what the standard Oracle support answer will be in 3 months' time if you run into a problem with your 9.2 ... Since you are going for a full Oracle version, can't you convince them to get you a pre-release 10.2 ?
