hi all,
I had got one mail from the group wherein following command was given:  alter session set nls_date_format='dd.mon.yyyy hh24:mi'; alter system set fixed_date='<anydate>';  this was used to change the server date and time without affecting the original date n time on the server but when I tried the command on the server(test obviously not the production one) then the date n time was changed and then it wasnt changing to its original value. So I had to re-start the oracle database. Why so?? any idea??? Is there any method using which we can revert it to the original value???  Plz. suggest
