To be explicit, I have a 2-node Oracle 10g RAC running on SuSE Linux, with 4 CPUs and 8 GB RAM each. There are already four instances installed each of which equally uses 2GB RAM. For the machines are avg. 80% idle (rather small databases, few users), we are thinking about adding another two instances to the RAC which have a total of about 200 (~130 + ~70)users together. So, can I somehow figure out how much the basic usage for one instance is plus a variable amount depending on the number of users? Any help appreciated - hints, infos, links etc. Thanks in advance!
