when we are in a a hurry, we wither 'shutdown abort' or shoot pmon and SAs run a script that does a kill -9 on the ospids ... remember when you shoot pmon, oracle creates a directory in cdump and writes a TRW file for each process. BTW does anyone know WTF is the TRW file contains? Raj
