The pre-install check for installing Oracle on RHEL3 is flagging a couple of things I need to change.

I want to set ulimit MAXLOCKMEM to 3145728. How do you set that up and then how do you verify it is set correctly?

How/where do you set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL. Does this variable only need to be used with RHEL 2.4.19? What if you are also going to have Fedora Core 3 on another server and the kernel is 2.6?
