hi

i am trying to do get a baseline configuration of a few oracle databases(version 9i) with reference to IOPS.

for calculating IOPS, i am trying to validate whether statspack IO statistics section is accurate enough. I am calculating IOPS using average phyrds/sec_avg phywrites/sec (for both temp files and data files)

i am facing a scenario where the IO numbers from statspack are more than what the filer(my storage device) can handle. i would like clarifications on these
- whether statspack IO is the exact physical IOs or there is some tweaking to this or whether this is not the right way to calculate.

please let me know if your ideas on this.

thx for your time and help
