Hello,

I know this question has been asked before but lacking the correct keywords, hard for me to search google for the answer.

I would like to know if I have a large table in a database, is it better to put everything in one big datafile or split it up into a few smaller ones? What are the factors to investigate when decising how big to set datafiles? What are the advantages/disadvantages.

Thanks.
