Base Salary 75-95K..depends on experience.

*Description:
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining documentation=

and standards.
Implement physical database designs following best practices and standards. Perform database tuning and establish automated processes around=20 performance monitoring.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and=  roles,
assign privileges, etc). Plan for growth and changes. Perform general technical trouble-shooting and consult with development=  teams.
Manage the data warehouse and ETL processes. Working with application managers to mentor other DBAs; helping them to=  create
appropriate development plans & guiding them in the development of=  appropriate
technical skills consistent with the SJM environment and direction. Working with the application managers to ensure project plans are accurate=
=20

with respect
to detailed design/development activities.

*Requirements:
.Four-year degree in a technical field such as computer science, management=
=20

information
  systems, or engineering.
=B7Five years experience as a DBA developing, maintaining, and fine-tuning=
=20

SQL Server and
  Oracle databases.
=B7Two years experience in Data Warehousing.
=B7Two years experience with stored procedures and ETL.
=B7Experience with Ascential DataStage & ERWIN is a plus.
=B7Two years experience leading small to mid-size teams (3-5 people).
=B7Good understanding of the SQL Server and Oracle databases along with=20
related tools
  and utilities. Experience with Progress is a plus.
=B7Knowledge and practice using conceptual, logical, and physical database=
=20

design principles.
=B7Understanding of the underlying hardware, operating system, and DBMS=20
constraints
  and how they should impact design principles.
=B7Experience with code migration, revision control, database change=20
management and
  data management through the various stages of the development lifecycle.
=B7Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to transition=
=20

smoothly
  between technical and business vernacular given the audience.
