Yes, lib32 exists. I needed to link a perl executable on Solaris with 64-bit Oracle 9i and had to go in and hack the makefiles for the new modules to specify lib32.=20

there is no 32 Bit version og 9i avaliable for Solaris - only 64 (just checked)

if you have a 32 bit application would need to link against lib32 (if it exists)
