Given that you don't want the total of all of your SGAs to be more than 1/3 to 1/2 of your physical memory (various people give various percentages, but the principle is the same), you must have a pretty big machine there, else you'll end up thrashing yourself to death on OS page swaps. Ed Stevens

Oracle 9.2.0.4 on AIX 5.2.
I'm thinking of resizing my buffer cache >2GB and max_sga_size > 4GB.=20 Did anyone saw any bugs or problems related to this issue?
