No It was the import to the LInux box that was dieing. Database looks ok. Export works fine.=20

So I suppose there are TWO QUESTIONS

  1. Is upgrade to 10 the best (only way)
  2. Why is Samba hosted filesystem giving corruption

And if 1 is not true then 2 becomes academic.

I think that was why we ended up heading off in that direction.=20

I'm a bit intrigued though - because IIRC exp was dying on the NT box anyway, I'm beginning to wonder about the integrity of the existing database files, given this (maybe wayward) recollection and the corrupt blocks you are getting doing it this way.
