Support Issues w.r.t. Multi GEO Architecture

We are in the Design Stage of a Multi Geography Architecture (across different continents) deploying a Host of Banking ApplicationS & respective DatabaseS with Data Transfer occurring between them.=20

Applications =3D Core Banking, Internet Banking, CRM, ATM Interfaces, = POS,
DW etc

What are the SUPPORT Issues with maintaining such a Production Site?

Any Links, Papers, Books would help
