Hi all

I previously had a database on my laptop, running XP+SP1 at that time,

Since then applied the SP2 patch, discovered I could not log onto the old database, was nothing critical in it, so dropped it.

Trying to create a new database and running into ora-03113

I have added the service, created the password file, set the oracle sid,

But when I go=20

Sqlplus /nolog
Connect sys as sysdba
Give password it just shouts back with ora 3113 en of communication channel.

Thought maybe it is the new XP firewall so complete disabled that, still no joy,

Anyhow with ideas.
