where to hack bad version range test in 10.1.0.2 grid oem runInstaller

Before I resort to perl search the universe of directory walking, does anyone know off hand where to hack the .xml (or if it is somewhere else) so that 10.1.0.2 grid runInstaller stop insisting that 10.1.0.3 of the database is less than 9.2.0.4 of the database?

NB: I know 10.1.0.2 of grid won't actually function well on 10g, but I am trying to install it on a clean grid unpolluted by 9.x so that I may apply the patch to grid 10.1.0.3, which does function on 10.1.0.3 databases (at least according to the docs.)

Regards,

mwf
