Hi Antonio , thanx for ur reply.
i tried that and even re-started the snmp daemon.

then i loaded the oracle MIB entries
(in $ORACLE_HOME/network/doc/*v1 files) into /etc/mib.defs as said in the man pages of "mosy" command.but still , the result is the same.

# snmpinfo -m next -v 1.3.6.1.4.1.111.4.1.2.1.2.2.X.X.X.X noSuchName at position 1

totally stuckup here .i found a similar post from Raj regarding the same , few years back. any suggestions Raj ?

Thanks and Regards,
Prem.
