Hi All,

We are using Replication to replicate data from our production databases to data warehouse. If we setup a Dataguard for both production and data warehouse databases, In case of a failover or switchover to Data Guard site, will we loose any data which is present in the M$LOG tables.

We have observed that if a record has multiple updates applied to it during the timeframe between the execution of the replication job, that record will quite possibly not have all the updates applied to it.

Also if there are several updates applied to the same record during the timeframe between replicated jobs the replicated job will fail. The only way to get the job running again is to clear the replicated records from the Oracle tables and restart the job.

I wanted to know how the data is replicated to the DG site in case of the replication tables. Was wondering if an Oracle stream is a better option than Replication in case of DG failover/switchover...

Pls suggest..

Thanks
Deep
