I have a set of MV's on each schema. One of those MV logs gets a row count that is much higher than the number of rows in the table.

Is that normal..it does'nt seem right? Is there a process I should be running to purge or something?

For instance we refresh every 15 minutes...the row count coming back from the log is 871599 but on the actual table it is only 27095.

We have seen this log get up to 8 million rows, while the table stay about the same size. When that occured the db appeared to hang to some degree or impact the pplication writing.

Version 9205 on Linux RAC.

Thanks for any assistance/pointers.
