Jbosse in a new version 3.2.5 checks database persistance by using select 'x' from dual. 5,000,000 hits in 10 days.... ouch!

Since the developers are using a fair amount of connections - about 100 needless to say my database is getting hit hard by this.

I have the developer looking into whether we can change it to using the x$dual table instead.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I could do? Is anyone one else having this issue?

We are on 8i, 9i (which is less intensive) and migrating to 10G on Solaris.

merci,

Kathy
