Hi Mark,

I am not sure how to do this and what to check in /etc/inetd.conf.

Can you guide me?

Thanks
Srinivas

Is rshd explicitly configured or is in.relogind configured in =3D /etc/inetd.conf on erpora1s.med.ge.com?

Subject:	rsh issue between 2 servers

Hi All,
=3D20

We have some issue with rsh between 2 servers.
=3D20

OS: Solaris: 8
Running apps 11.5.9.
=3D20

I am able to perform rsh from srvr A to srvr B. but cant do from Srvr B to Srvr A. ( I have included the server names in the $HOME/.rhosts file)
=3D20

[srvrA:DEFAULT:oracle]> rsh srvrA id
uid=3D3D102(oracle) gid=3D3D21(dba)
=3D20
=3D20

[srvrB:DEFAULT:oracle]> rsh srvrA id
erpora1s.med.ge.com: Connection refused
=3D20

This is forcing us to use ssh (which is fine between these servers). But ssh is a bit slow to copy 10 Gig between these servers.
=3D20

I am missing something somewhere. Could somebody throw somelight on this. (anything to be done from root ? we have access to root also)
=3D20

Thanks and Regards,
Srinivas
