List - If you must install the new Oracle Security Patch on one of your servers this weekend, be aware that opatch relinks your oracle binary. Years ago it was considered a good practice to relink oracle when you installed it, but some of us have gotten lazy since Oracle provides binaries already linked today. In my case, I have 64-bit Oracle on Solaris, but my LD_LIBRARY_PATH was pointing to some 32-bit directories. Enough said, just hope this tip helps somebody get home faster this weekend. Also, Metalink says the Florida support center is evacuated so don't file any TARs that aren't severity 1.
