Is the ANTs Data Server an accelerator for other database systems?
While the ANTs Data Server is designed to be a standalone database, it can
also be used to complement conventional database systems by moving high
contention, "hot spot" tables to the ANTs Data Server. This can be achieved
with minimal application changes since the ANTs Data Server supports SQL
programming through industry-standard ODBC and JDBC APIs.

I am beginning to dream of ODBC-based kinda database links between ANTS and
Oracle ... Great for boosting performance.

No, I have not heard of them.
The web site refers to in-memory products, and Cache immediately springs to mind. If you have ever looked at that product, and can remember Adabas, there are remarkable similarities. The key question to ask of these vendors is what data model their product supports. The answers can be interesting...
