Matt,

Just curious - what do you think it is?

I'm pretty sure the reason that it didn't=20 work had nothing to do with the clocks.

Matt,

But it didn't work did it?

Sent a reply earlier. Didn't see it come through. =3D20 Maybe it will someday.

Yes, both systems are sync'ed. The pretty much have=3D20 to be for Veritas clustering to work.

Matt,

So the first question still applies. Do the two machines have the same timestamp? Wolfgang & I are guessing that they do not match.

Sorry, I should have explained a little better.

This is a veritas cluster (non-RAC/OPS) on solaris 8 with oracle 8.1.7.4 that failed
over from one node to another because the network=3D3D20 connectivity = =3D between the two nodes failed. Multiple times.

That's what I was thinking of, but I was not sure if Matt's thread was dealing with RAC (two servers) or not.

Are the clocks on the two servers in sync? Quoting "Adams, Matthew (GE Consumer & Industrial)" <MATT.ADAMS_at_GE.COM>:
