Have done many a migration from 8.1.7.4 direct to 9.2.0.4. One gotcha, = watch out for invalid JAVA objects. Either fix first or go the = export/import route. Also IF you've moved SYSTEM's default tablespace = away from the SYSTEM tablespace, move it back.

Oracle wants one to migrate first to 9.1, but can one go straight to 9.2.0.4 with out any issues?
