One of our developers, at a previous employer, was employed to write a business intelligence system. He did. Then the specifyer of the system complained that the system only emitted data that was dependent upon what he put into it. I think that Chris had great presence of mind to say "Well I *could* write you a system that returns random information, but I'm not sure it entirely fits with our corporate data management strategy"
