Now, if I might suggest: Please take the next step as well, which is to figure out how to make the CBO execute the correct plan WITHOUT leaving = the
hints in. Doing this step now will save you some potentially difficult maintenance tasks later on.

You are correct. It worked. Now it is doing 9 LIOs instead of 18,800 = LIOs.
