Jared, a tip: If you notice the temp gauge going up, turn your heater on full blast and it'll draw the heat off the engine. Trust me, I know this. Last summer, in the blazing heat, I had to crank my heater so I could make it back to Victoria from Salem, Oregon. That was _many_ hours of extremely unpleasant heat, but I had a ferry to catch.
