Larry,

We are not analyzing SYS tables, nor do we plan to. We have both migrated
databases to 9.2 and created them brand new. In either case, the migration
documentation does not say anything about anaylzing the sys tables. And the
sys tables in the new 9.2 database do not come already analyzed.

So I would guess that they are not supposed to be analyzed.

Anybody else=3F

I had a question about a problem with 9.2 V$ views where a RULE hint helped
V$LOCK tremendously.

Someone suggested Analyzing the SYS tables. IS everyone doing that now or
is there considerable reticence=3F I didn't get a much current information
when I searched the FAQ or Google

        Has anyone experienced a downside=3F

Is anyone doing some of the tables but not all=3F
