UNIFORM extents

I was consolidating tablespaces today.
I would grab the dll from DBA Studio, then chop some of the "used to be  huge" tablespaces from 25 200mb files to perhaps 1 200Mb file with autoextend to 2gb or so which will probably not get used.

On several of these simply saying "extent management local uniform" defaulted now somehow to 10MB extents.

Where does this "default" come from?

Evidently when they were created, that default was 64k or so, now it's 10MB?
