Query_rewrite_integrity

Has anyone seen query_rewrite_integrity=trusted affect the behaviour of PL/SQL code with complex joins of views and tables, multiple queries through loops?

I logged a TAR with Oracle but I'm curious to see if anyone encountered problems with query_rewrite_integrity.

There is a Tom Kyte entry about optimizer_index_cost_adj and optimizer_index_caching being set wrong by default, but I don't want to change those settings on a whim.

A Metalink forum thread refers to a bug ref number that suggests using _complex_view_merging=false, but again I am loathe to try a hidden parameter on a production system.
