AIX has the capabillity to support files over 2GB. Ask your system admin to turn on large files enabled. Or man mkfs HTH,
Mike.

Hi All,
The env. is oracle 9.2.0.4 & AIX 5.2L (64 bit)

What is the safe limit for maximum datafile size ? I see lot of articles about 2GB limitation.

Any advise would be greatly helpful.

Thanks.
Prem.
