Yes and no. If they don't check the FAQ, as is mentioned at the end of
=3D every message that comes out of this list, then perhaps a certain
amount =3D of mild Mladenizing is appropriate. If they don't know what = a
FAQ is, =3D any advice coming from this list would most likely be =3D misused/misconstrued and they should not be on this list. Same goes for
=3D unsubbing. I'm not sure about checking the Archives, as I haven't
been =3D there myself yet.

OTOH, honest questions from a FAQ-checking newbie should be welcome and
=3D replied to as though they are the professionals The List caters to. =
=3D

What better way to move a newbie to novice to intermediate to advanced =
=3D

to Guru?

How about the less experienced listers? I often ignore simple questions, knowing that this gives an opportunity for junior folks to participate in the list, and help out those that have even less experience than they do.
