Obviously if certain details are needed then we would surf for it. Here is my list, in priority order: 1. SQL Command -- If you can't recall the command, you can't surf for it. Having a handy book to thumb through would help find the command. 2. A single syntax example. Just a common way of using the command. 3. Railroad syntax diagram. This is where the clever formatting would help. If a manual had just that, I would toss my 7.3 manual. I could dig anything further out of the Oracle manual if I needed it. Does spiral bound cost more to manufacture? I like the lay-flat idea.
